Starting big Tim Duncan and head coach Gregg Popovich did not travel with the team and will miss the Spurs' game at Dallas on Friday, the team announced Thursday.
Both sat out Wednesday's victory over New Orleans.
Duncan, 36, is listed as day-to-day with a sore left knee. He is averaging 17.5 points, 9.8 rebounds and 2.7 blocks in his 16th NBA season. Duncan is a strong candidate to earn his 14th All-Star berth when the reserves are announced later today on TNT.
Popovich notified the Spurs roughly two hours before the Hornets game that he was too ill to coach. He ceded head coaching duties to No. 1 assistant Mike Budenholzer, who guided the Spurs to a 106-102 victory.
The result pushed San Antonio (34-11) into a virtual tie with Oklahoma City (33-10) for the NBA's best record.
