Spurs center/forward Tim Duncan sprained his left knee and right ankle late in the first half of Saturday's home game against Washington and will not return, per team release. No other details were provided.

Duncan was injured while vying for a rebound. Wizards forward Martell Webster appeared to roll into the back of Duncan's knee. The 16-year veteran was down on the court for several minutes before teammates DeJuan Blair and Stephen Jackson helped him up and off the court. He was shown walking under his own power on his way back to the locker room.

Duncan had been making his return after missing four straight games with a sore left knee. He had eight points, five rebounds and two assists in 13 minutes.
