The Anaheim Ducks have signed goaltender Frederik Andersen to a two-year contract extension through the 2015-16 season. No financial terms were disclosed.

The Ducks announced the signing a few minutes after Andersen's 26-save performance in a 2-1 road victory against the Ottawa Senators.

Andersen, 24, made his NHL debut Oct. 20 against the Dallas Stars. He entered the game in relief of Jonas Hiller to start the second period and stopped all 24 shots he faced as the Ducks rallied for a 6-3 victory.
