For Neftali Feliz to have success and pitch deep into games this season, he will have to manage his pitch count. One way to do that is to get as many double play balls as possible.

Feliz induced two of them during his start on Wednesday in a game the Rangers fell 6-1 to the Colorado Rockies at Surprise Stadium.

Feliz started the game with a perfect first inning, striking out two. In the second, he gave up consecutive one-out doubles to Todd Helton and Jordan Pacheco and a single to Tyler Colvin. Despite giving up one run, he got out of the inning by inducing a double-play grounder from Brendan Harris with a changeup outside.
