The Miami Dolphins don't expect Dion Jordan to start immediately. According to the Miami Herald, the Dolphins plan to use him primarily in passing situations to start, making the third round pick a situational player, at least to start the season.

Miami plans to use Jordan as a defensive end in passing situations, but would also like to use him in their base defense. Doing so would likely mean moving him to strongside linebacker, which is something the Dolphins have discussed, but have not begun working with Jordan on playing.
