Devils minor league call-up Anderson finally put his name in the NHL record book.
"It was great, a great atmosphere," the winger said of Tuesday night's game against the Boston Bruins at TD Garden. "It's something you've worked so hard for for so long. It was good to get the first one out of the way. It's definitely nice to have that under my belt. Nobody can take that away from me."
He almost scored a goal when he tipped a shot wide with 1:58 left in the second period.
"I put myself in a good spot," Anderson said. "You never know. Hopefully there will be a lot more of those chances."
