Just as he was beginning to find his game with the New Jersey Devils, forward Damien Brunner will miss significant time with a right knee injury sustained in Friday night's game against the Anaheim Ducks.

"He'll be out a minimum of four weeks," New Jersey general manager Lou Lamoriello told the Star-Ledger. "He does not need surgery."

Brunner was helped off the ice after taking a hit from Ducks defenseman Mark Fistric late in the first period. Devils coach Peter DeBoer told reporters after the game the hit didn't look dirty to him.
