With Keith Kinkaid called up to the Devils to serve as Johan Hedberg’s backup while Martin Brodeur is out with a sore back, goaltender Maxime Clermont was assigned to Albany (AHL) today from Elmira (ECHL).

In 32 games with Elmira, Clermont is 15-10-3-2 with a 3.25 goals-against average and .901 save percentage. Clermont, 21, was the Devils’ sixth-round draft pick in 2010.

The New Jersey Devils will hold their morning skate at 12:30 p.m. (New Jersey time) today at MTS Centre in preparation for tonight’s game against the Winnipeg Jets.
