New Orleans Hornets rookie power forward Anthony Davis suffered a sprained right knee during the third quarter of Friday night’s 104-100 loss to the Dallas Mavericks and he did not return. But Davis says he could have returned to the court had Coach Monty Williams elected to put him back in.
“I was prepared to play if they needed me,” said Davis, who left with 10 points and 11 rebounds. “Coach Mont and everybody on the coaching staff knew that. I wanted to help my team win.”
