David Wright offered another encouraging update about his status for Opening Day. The Mets third baseman said he emerged from another day of workouts on Monday afternoon with no issues in his strained left intercostal muscle.

On Monday, as the team traveled to play the Braves, Wright stayed behind to to receive treatment and continue on his rehab plan. He reported no problems after swinging the bat on Sunday for the first time since suffering the injury at the World Baseball Classic.

"[I] feel good," Wright said on Monday. "Same routine as yesterday."
