After throwing just two bullpen sessions in front of the Chicago White Sox coaching staff, John Danks is already itching to move forward in his rehab from last summer's shoulder surgery.

Danks had another 10-minute session Sunday, mixing in a few more breaking balls than he did in his first session Thursday.

For the White Sox, a nice and easy pace is what they feel is best for avoiding any setbacks. For Danks, his goal is to start the season on time and he has the natural instinct to push himself. He was asked if he’s getting a little antsy.

“Yeah, I’d be lying if I said no because this is all new to me,” Danks said. “I’ve been assured by (pitching coach Don Cooper), (trainer) Herm (Schneider) and doctors that they’re all happy where I’m at right now. So I take comfort in that. But certainly I want to push things a little bit.”
