Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nill has released a statement regarding Assistant Coach James Patrick’s arrest.

“We’re aware of the incident and have spoken to James regarding the matter. We’re confident that the authorities will find an appropriate resolution to the situation. We will have no further comment at this time.”

Original post at 11:36 a.m. Wednesday: A Dallas Stars assistant coach was arrested last week after a domestic dispute at his home near Love Field.

James Alan Patrick, 50, was charged with assault after he shoved his girlfriend during an argument about the contents of his phone, police said.

Patrick got to his home in the 9100 block of Chapel Valley Road around 1:20 a.m. April 30. His girlfriend told police Patrick smelled like alcohol and was covered in vomit, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.
