Starlin Castro belted an RBI double in the bottom of the ninth to give the Cubs a 4-3 victory over the Giants Friday at Wrigley Field.

The Cubs entered the ninth trailing 3-2. Pinch-hitter Dioner Navarro led off with a home run to tie the game 3-3. David DeJesus lined a single to keep the inning alive before Castro's double off losing reliever Sergio Romo.

Starting pitcher Carlos Villanueva threw 7 1/3 shutout innings, allowing just three hits, but the Giants rallied for three runs in the top of the ninth off reliever Kyuji Fujikawa Friday at Wrigley Field.

DeJesus and Castro each stroked a solo homer to provide the early scoring for the Cubs. The Giants rallied in the 9th as Pablo Sandoval singled home Marco Scutaro, who had reached on a one-out double off Fujiawa.

Buster Posey was hit by a pitch to put runners on first and second with one out. Hunter Pence bounced into a fielder's choice that left runners at the corners with two outs. Then Brandon Belt lined a two-run double to right.

The Cubs committed two costly errors in Thursday’s 7-6 loss to the Giants.

“I feel very comfortable over there (at third); I played there when I was first drafted,” Clevenger said. “It’s nothing new to me. Just getting (practice) reps and getting the ground balls and getting comfortable at the position.”
