Duron Carter dropped the first three passes he saw during the Vikings' rookie camp Friday, May 3. But it was fair to say nerves were at work.

He was, after all, back where "I grew up half my life" and lining up at receiver in the same facility his father had forged a hall of fame career. The fact that the Vikings were bringing in Cris Carter's son for a tryout had garnered plenty of attention, and Duron Carter knew it.

"I was kind of nervous out there. I got back into it; hopefully, I can get more," Duron Carter said. "You can't be Cris Carter. I can only be Duron Carter."

The undrafted free agent will have plenty to prove if he wants to earn a contract from the Vikings. He bounced around to three different schools after catching 13 passes at Ohio State and never played a down at either Alabama or Florida Atlantic.
