Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Corey Crawford started Thursday night's game in St. Louis. But by the second period, backup Ray Emery was manning the net.

Emery started the second period for the Blackhawks, who were leading 1-0 after one in St. Louis. There was no immediate word on Crawford's status. Video replay shows him stumbling out of the crease after the first period, pushing off on his left skate and putting all the weight on his right leg.

Crawford faced six shots from the Blues in the first period, stopping them all. WGN color analyst Troy Murray said, during the telecast, that Crawford was "hobbled" coming off the ice at the end of the period.

Thursday was just Crawford's second start since he suffered an upper-body injury that kept him out about two weeks.
