The Cowboys released receiver Donavon Kemp on Thursday. Kemp, 24, never played in an NFL regular season game after signing with the club as an undrafted free agent last year.

Kemp suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee during a training camp practice held in San Diego last August. He was subsequently placed on the team’s injured reserve list. Kemp played at DeSoto High School and UTEP before joining the Cowboys.
