The NFL is expected to have a decision about Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle Josh Brent sometime next week. Brent was charged with intoxication manslaughter last December after he was involved in an accident that killed fellow teammate Jerry Brown. Since that incident, Brent has also failed two drug tests seemingly increasing the punishment expected to be doled out by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell soon.

The Cowboys organization has been very patient with Brent. Many believe it is because his mother pleaded with them to give her son another chance. After failing the additional drug tests, I’m not sure he has any left. The Dallas Morning News’ Tim Cowlishaw thinks Dallas inaction concerning Brent could actually hurt them,
