The Dallas Stars could potentially be fairly active on the trade front, leading up to the April 3 deadline, and it's understandable that fans are eager to discuss all of the possibilities. Over the coming weeks, we'll post a trade rumors roundup thread every other day or so to provide an official thread to discuss all of the speculation floating around the hockeysphere.

We'll only post links to "reputable" sources on these rumors and speculation, but take all of this with a grain of salt.

Craig Custance takes a look at the top rental options this season but not necessarily the players that are necessarily on the trading block. Corey Perry tops the list, but the Stars' Brenden Morrow and Jaromir Jagr are also mentioned. Morrow is almost certainly going to get moved this season, and it could happen soon, but it's tough to imagine the Stars will consider trading Jagr unless they completely collapse heading into the deadline. As an aside -- I know Stars fans have their hopes up for a Ryan Getzlaf free agent signing, but it looks as if the Ducks will re-sign Getzlaf and trade Perry ahead of letting him hit free agency.

The Boston Bruins have some buzz building around them likely being big buyers at the deadline, considering their available cap space. Jarome Iginla and Corey Perry are mentioned as possible targets, but Joe Haggerty also points out Brenden Morrow as an option the Bruins could be interested in for some gritty leadership for a postseason run.
