Does anybody think that Jay Bruce should be considered for National League Most Valuable Player, despite his chilly .256 batting average and 126 strikeouts in 464 at-bats?

Why not? It is clear the Cincinnati Reds are not only going to run away from everybody in the National League Central, they've already run away and nearly hid from the St. Louis Cardinals, 9 ½ games behind the Reds and gasping through respirators.

Joey Votto is still The Main Man for the Reds, but his six-week absence plays havoc with MVP consideration.
