Clay Buchholz pitched 32⁄3 innings and allowed two runs on four hits in his third and final rehab start for Pawtucket last night. Barring any setbacks from the shoulder injury that has sidelined him since June 8 Buchholz should start Tuesday in the opener of a three-game series at Tampa Bay.

Buchholz’ return will bump someone from the rotation. Ryan Dempster with a 4.79 ERA is the most logical candidate but the Sox didn’t announce any change. . . .

Daniel Nava went 1-for-3 with two walks. He has reached base in 40 consecutive games and sports a .390 on-base percentage.
