Giancarlo Stanton and Steve Cishek have yet to experience the playoffs. If or when they do, the postseason atmosphere won't be completely foreign. Their participation in the World Baseball Classic took care of that.

Back with the Marlins after their tour with Team USA, Stanton and Cishek both contributed to Sunday's 6-0 Grapefruit League win over the Cardinals at Roger Dean Stadium. Stanton, coming off a 4-for-17 (.235), one-RBI performance in five WBC games, went 2-for-3 with a double Sunday. Cishek pitched a scoreless eighth with a walk and a strikeout.

"If anything, it only helped out," Cishek said. "People compared it to a playoff experience. It

was good to have something like that happen. I know what the intensity is like. It was pretty hardcore. It was awesome.

"Any experience you can get in those situations helps. I don't think there's ever a time you're comfortable in those situations, but having gone through it definitely helped out."
