The Chiefs have hired John Dorsey, Green Bay's longtime director of college scouting, as their new general manager.
Dorsey will be formally introduced at a news conference Monday at Arrowhead Stadium, one week after the Chiefs introduced Andy Reid as their new head coach.
Dorsey, 52, played in college at Connecticut and then five seasons as a linebacker and special teams player for the Packers. He joined the Packers as a college scout in 1991 and became their director of college scouting in 1998.
He's been in that position ever since, except for one season as Seattle's director of player personnel in 1999.
