Dallas Walker, a tight end that played at Western Michigan, went undrafted and then unsigned last April. Not being among the nearly 900 rookies to catch on with a team last year apparently wasn't enough to dissuade Walker from chasing the NFL dream.

Walker has been out of football since college excepting a handful of games played with the Ultimate Indoor Football League's Georgia Rampage, but he managed to impress the Chargers' front office at the Super Regional Combine in Dallas. Per UT San Diego's Michael Gehlken, the Chargers interviewed Walker after his workout and a few hours later he was contacted by his agent and informed of the team's offer. He will be on the field tomorrow for a three-day voluntary minicamp.
