Knee tendinitis kept Vince Carter out of a practice early last week, mostly as a precautionary measure.

The eight-time NBA All-Star hasn't had any issues since. He took part in Friday night's intrasquad Dallas Mavericks scrimmage and was back on the practice floor Saturday morning.

"I'm fine. I just needed a day," Carter said. "It was one of those weird things for me because you go pretty much all summer working and not taking days off. It was just a little overuse. I took that day and did some strengthening and some ice and the next day, it was gone. So I feel great."
