Clubhouse confidential: As Carlos Santana neared the plate in the seventh inning Monday after hitting his 20th homer of the season, he pointed to the stands. As he crossed the plate, he pointed to the sky.

The first point was for his girlfriend, Brittany, and his agent. The second?

"That was to God," said Santana.

Among his 20 homers, Santana hit 14 as a catcher and six as a first baseman. The last Indians catcher to hit 14 or more homers in a season was Victor Martinez, who hit 22 in 2007.
