The Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday made personnel contract decisions, extending qualifying offers to five restricted free agents: forwards Zac Dalpe, Zach Boychuk, Riley Nash and Jared Staal, and defenseman Michal Jordan.

The Canes elected not to make qualifying offers to six restricted free agents: forwards Andreas Nodl, AJ Jenks, Luke Pither; defensemen Joe Sova and Justin Krueger, and goalie John Muse. All will become unrestricted free agents on Friday and able to sign with other teams.

General manager Jim Rutherford said forwards Tim Wallace and Jerome Samson, due to become unrestricted free agents Friday, would test free agency.
