Dwane Casey says he's not 100 per cent sure who'll be the Raptors starting point guard when the rapid-fire NBA season begins at Christmas, but it doesn't take a soothsayer to see between the lines the coach has drawn.

In Jerryd Bayless, he has a young, quick guard capable of changing the tempo of the game, an inexperienced floor leader still learning how to run and defend the most rudimentary play in the game and a backup situation would seem perfect for him.

Casey won't say as much; except that he practically did.
