The Bulls will once again be without Derrick Rose, Kirk Hinrich, Taj Gibson and Richard Hamilton when they take on the Denver Nuggets tonight.
Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau said nothing has changed on Rose's status, while Hinrich and Gibson are listed day-to-day. Gibson appears the likeliest to return first from a sprained left MCL he suffered Feb. 24.
“He’s getting a lot closer,” Thibodeau said. “I just think another couple of days [of practice] will be good.”
The Nuggets come into tonight’s game winners of 11 straight, defeating opponents by an average of 12.3 points during the streak.
“The Nuggets are playing as well as anyone right now,” Thibodeau said. “We’ll be tested in a lot of ways. We have to play well on both sides of the ball. We need everybody. We have to have the right mindset, have an edge and play for 48 minutes.”
In their first matchup on Feb. 7, the Nuggets posted a Bulls’ opponent season-high 128 points en route to a 128-96 victory.
