It was almost a week ago that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers parted ways with projected starting left guard Carl Nicks.

It wasn’t until Wednesday, however, that they officially released him and filled his spot on the 90-man training camp roster.

When they made that move, the Bucs added cornerback Kid Edwards, a Missouri product who came into the league as an undrafted free agent in 2013.

The 5-foot-10, 190-pound Edwards initially signed with the Buffalo Bills, but he spent the 2013 on the practice squads of the Cleveland Browns and Minnesota Vikings.
