While Tampa Bay placekicker Derek Dimke has performed well as Connor Barth’s replacement since Barth was lost for the season with an Achilles injury the Bucs may not be comfortable heading into 2013 with a first-year kicker lined up to hit a potential game-winning last-second field goal this season.

PewterReport.com can confirm an earlier report from FOXSports 1's Alex Marvez the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have added former Bills kicker Rian Lindell.

After Barth’s injury the Buccaneers signed former Giants kicker Lawrence Tynes but Tynes has yet to see any preseason action after suffering a toe injury early in camp. Tynes inability to perform drew the ire of Bucs head coach Greg Schiano on Tuesday.

Sure it is having an impact on a lot of things” Schiano said. “We have one kicker in camp basically for the entire camp. So he has been doing all the kicking. Now his leg is getting tired as well. Yeah we’re bringing guys in. I’m not sure what day it is.”

That day apparently was Tuesday.

According to the Buffalo Bills website Lindell was signed in 2003 as a free agent Lindell is the most accurate kicker in team annals from inside 20 yards (100% T-1st). He also ranks first from between 20-29 yards (95.5%) between 30-39 yards (92.4%) third from between 40-49 yards (68.4%) and first all-time from 50 yards plus (52.5%).
