Bruins captain Zdeno Chara was hospitalized Friday night with dehydration, the team confirmed, and it's unclear whether he will play in Saturday night's Game 2 against the Montreal Canadiens at TD Garden.

Chara was not at the morning skate Saturday but Bruins coach Claude Julien said he expects the 6-foot-9 defenseman to be in the lineup.

"Until our medical staff tells us he can't go, he's in tonight," Julien said.

Chara practiced with the team at Ristuccia Arena on Friday, but felt ill and was taken to the hospital Friday night.

The Boston Herald first reported Chara's hospitalization.
