The Eastern Conference wasn't about Pittsburgh's high-powered offense. Instead, it was about suffocating defense and dominant goaltending.

It's why the Boston Bruins are advancing to the Stanley Cup Finals for the second time in three years, after beating the Penguins 1-0 on Friday night at the TD Garden, completing a four-game sweep in the Eastern Conference Finals.

Tuukka Rask picked up his second shutout of the series by making 26 saves, and held the Penguins' power play scoreless for the fourth straight game.

Game 4 was scoreless until five minutes into the third, when Bruins defenseman Adam McQuaid buried a slap shot from the right point that beat Tomas Vokoun top left.
