The Capitals are on the ice for the morning skate here at Air Canada Centre in Toronto, and for the first time this season, forward Brooks Laich out there with them.
Laich, 29, has yet to play a game this season because of a groin muscle injury that he originally suffered while playing in Switzerland during the lockout.
The Capitals have not set a time table for Laich to return to the lineup, and it is still uncertain if his appearance on the ice today means he will begin practicing with the team full time. Be sure to check back after the skate with updates from Laich and Coach Adam Oates on the utility forward's recovery process.
Based on the line rushes they ran during the morning skate, the Capitals look to be sticking with the same forward combinations for a fourth straight contest.
Here's what the lines looked like during the skate, and I'll update with the scratches and defensive pairings once the team is off the ice.
