Brooks Laich's injury woes continue in Washington. On Monday the Capitals announced th forward is likely going to miss 4-6 weeks, potentially ending his season.

Laich labored through the Capitals' 4-3 win on Friday against the Canucks at home and then sat out Sunday's game against the Maple Leafs. So on Monday Laich underwent a procedure to release a tight adductor, in the thigh.

Laich, who has spent all but one game in his 10 NHL seasons with the Capitals, has struggled to steay healthy over the past two seasons. In the shortened season of 2013 he only played in nine games, this after missing just four games in the previous five seasons combined.
