The Brooklyn Nets are still a few steps away from their “final” roster but the team made a notable move after their preseason game on Thursday night.

According to Yahoo’s Marc Spears the Nets have elected to waive veteran forward Gary Forbes and with that move the team has dwindled their roster to 17 players. Forbes spent the 2012-2013 season in China while playing for the Zhejiang Lions but prior to that the 6-foot-7 forward from Panama played 2 seasons in the league with the Nuggets and Raptors.
