Many of his teammates believed Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas had done enough in the 2012 season to earn a Pro Bowl trip to Hawaii.

Monday, Thomas was notified he would indeed board a plane to participate in Sunday's all-star game. Thomas, who was fourth in the NFL with 1,434 yards receiving this season, was named as an injury replacement for the AFC team.

Broncos guard Zane Beadles also was named an injury replacement, Monday. Thomas replaced Patriots wide receiver Wes Welker and Beadles replaced Patriots guard Logan Mankins.

It is the first Pro Bowl trip for each Bronco.

Thomas had seven 100-yard games this season, his first to play in all 16 games since he was a first-round pick in 2010.

Beadles was the only Broncos player to play every snap this season and has played in every game since the Broncos selected him in the 2010 draft, having started all but two.

Thomas and Beadles join cornerback Champ Bailey, defensive end Elvis Dumervil, quarterback Peyton Manning and linebacker Von Miller in Honolulu. Left tackle Ryan Clady also was selected for the game but will not participate because of a shoulder injury.
