o quote what the late, great George Kell would have said: "This might just gonna be awesome."

MC and the Hammer who follows him in the lineup put on quite a show Saturday — two home runs each for Miguel Cabrera and Prince Fielder off Josh Beckett — in the Tigers' 10-0 victory over the outslugged, outpitched, out-everythinged Red Sox.

From the moment Austin Jackson walked to lead off the first inning, followed two batters later by Cabrera's booming drive to left, the Tigers had no trouble getting past the Sox for their second consecutive victory against a team that's going to be better than it has looked so far.

However, the Tigers lost starter Doug Fister to the 15-day disabled list with a left costochondral (ribs) strain. They'll recall right-hander Brayan Villarreal on Sunday.
