The first-year head coach is undergoing more tests and his status for Friday's game against the Knicks is yet to be determined.

The Charlotte Bobcats announced Friday morning that coach Steve Clifford checked into the hospital Thursday night after "not feeling well." Clifford was held overnight as a precaution and is undergoing more tests. His status for Friday night's game against the New York Knicks is still yet to be determined.

If Clifford is unable to coach, Patrick Ewing would likely get the call. The Bobcats are looking to beat the Knicks for the second straight time after winning 102-97 at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday.
