Chad Billingsley will undergo another MRI exam on his right elbow today after an MRI Sunday revealed inflammation.
Billingsley was held out of his scheduled start against San Diego as a precaution and the team has yet to decide whether he'll need to go on the disabled list, pending the results of the second MRI.
"I thought I could have gone today," he said, "but it's more being cautious and not making it a more serious situation than it is."
The right-hander said he's been bothered "a couple weeks" by pain in his throwing elbow. His statistics indicate it could be affecting his performance.
