Despite the Cincinnati Bengals waiting and watching assistant coaches interview for promotions around the NFL, ultimately no one left. Jay Gruden interviewed four times and Mike Zimmer stirred interest with two teams looking for a head coach. Even assistant secondary and special teams coach Hue Jackson interviewed with the Carolina Panthers for their vacant offensive coordinator job.
Though Gruden and Zimmer appear to be staying, there could be idle interest in Dallas, depending on how things develop.
According to multiple reports, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is "pushing coach Jason Garrett to give up his play-calling duties."
