Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski has been cleared to play, according to coach Bill Belichick.

Gronkowski underwent surgery to repair a torn ACL in his knee six and a half months ago, and the Patriots began reporting for training camp this week. Gronkowski was among the group of injured players who were required to show up as early as Sunday (along with quarterbacks and rookies), while the remaining half of the team arrives today at Gillette Stadium.

Gronkowski wasn't among the nine players who were added to the physically unable to perform or non-football injury lists Monday, so there was speculation whether that could still happen before tomorrow's official first practice.
