This summer's transfer window promises to offer a lot of changes at Chelsea. Since the arrival of Mourinho, the club has been linked with multiple departures and arrivals in several positions. The likes of David Luiz, John obi Mikel, and Fernando Torres continue to be linked with a move away from Chelsea. There has always been rumours surrounding Luiz, but there is a strong feeling that Chelsea may receive a contract offer from the likes of Bayern Munich and Barcelona.

Barcelona have held a long-standing interest in the Brazilian, but Bayern Munich's interest is relatively new. According to the Mirror, new Bayern boss Guardiola wants Luiz at the Allianz Arena because he sees the central defender as someone who can improve the team significantly. Guardiola enjoyed a lot of success at Barcelona and it was built on a successful partnership of Pique and Puyol.

Despite his huge physical presence, Pique is a very good ballplayer. Luiz is of a similar style and his versatility is also an added bonus. His defensive qualities may be put into question on a rare occasion, but his total football ability seem more than enough for Bayern Munich to pay £35 million for the defender.
