Outfielder Jason Bay could rejoin the Mets as soon as Tuesday for the team's series against the Washington Nationals, according to manager Terry Collins.
Bay has been on the disabled list since fracturing a rib on April 23.
In two rehab games with Class A Port St. Lucie, Bay is 2-for-6 with one RBI. Bay was the designated hitter in both games, but is expected to play the field in Monday night's game against the Tampa Yankees.
