Jason Bay and Pedro Beato are the latest arrivals who hope to bolster a depleted Mets roster.

Both were activated from the disabled list on Wednesday.

Bay had been on the DL since April 24 with a rib fracture. His arrival gives the Mets four outfielders for three spots, joining Kirk Nieuwenhuis, Andres Torres and Lucas Duda. Bay is not in Wednesday night's lineup with the other three starting.

Collins said he was giving Bay a day to get reacclimated after traveling here and to recover from the cold that delayed his return by a day.
