For a guy who spent the day in his hotel room battling an upset stomach, Andrea Bargnani looked much better than just all right when it came around to game time.

Word at the morning shootaround was Bargnani had a reaction to some medication that kept him away from the team get together earlier in the day.

But there he was pre-game taking his normal place with the other Toronto bigs getting his shots up and warmed up for the night’s festivities.

The surprise though came in the game where for really the first time since November 23 of this season when he went off for 34 points, Bargnani dominated a game.

“Of course I am always confident in my shot but definitely (Monday night) it felt good to make some three’s,” he said. “Coming back from an injury, I mean this wasn’t the luckiest season for me so it feels good to come through.”

As much as he has struggled this season and as much flak as he has taken for it, Bargnani, ever the stoic Roman, will not change.

“I’m always going to shoot it if I have an open shot,” he said. “But I did not shoot the ball well the past few games but it’s going to come with my shape coming back.”
