When Phillippe Aumont was demoted from the major leagues last month pitching coach Rich Dubee said that Aumont was perhaps too headstrong. He said Aumont felt comfortable with what he was doing.

Aumont the 11th overall selection in 2007 has good stuff but his command is off. In triple A Aumont is walking about one batter per inning. Still Lehigh Valley manager Dave Brundage doesn't think Aumont is too stubborn.

"He's doing everything he's asked to do" Brundage said. "Trying to make some adjustments here and there. And I think Philippe Aumont has to make those adjustments. It's up to him. It's not anyone else it's not anything that we can say or do. We can help him and everyone wants to help him. He shows glimpses of it."

The Williamsport Crosscutters' representatives in the New York-Penn League All-Star Game put up plenty of zeros Tuesday. Williamsport is the Phillies' short-season affiliate.
