Tottenham flop Roberto Soldado could revive his career back in La Liga this year amid reports Atletico Madrid have made the Spaniard their No.1 summer transfer target.

High-flying Atletico, who are in the hunt for silverware at home and in Europe, are mindful of growing interest in star man Diego Costa, who has scored 27 goals in all competitions this season.

The Brazil-born hitman, who recently committed his international future to Spain, is wanted by Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Napoli, while Spurs have also been linked with him in recent weeks.

Atletico will have to sell the 25-year-old if any interested club meets his £31.25m release clause - and they will turn to Soldado if that happens.
