Robbie Grossman’s dream run with the Astros has temporarily ended.

The club optioned the struggling 23-year-old outfielder to Class AAA Oklahoma City on Monday, following a 3-2 12th-inning victory against the Rockies at Minute Maid Park.

Grossman went 0-for-5 with three strikeouts in the win. The former Cy Fair High School standout is hitting just .198 with a .553 OPS in 28 games (111 at-bats).

Grossman was promoted from OKC on April 24, after starting center fielder Justin Maxwell fractured his left hand. Grossman immediately becoming the club’s regular center fielder and leadoff hitter.
