One day after he was benched for a foolish mental blunder on the bases Jonathan Villar used his speed to help score the winning run against the Twins on Trevor Crowe’s walk-off single Wednesday afternoon.

Villar led off the ninth with a single to center. He reached second on Jose Altuve’s sacrifice bunt and scored on Crowe’s single to left to beat the Twins 6-5 before a crowd of 14869 at Minute Maid Park.

Erik Bedard who blew the save by giving up Ryan Doumit’s game-tying solo home run in the top of the ninth earned the victory.
