Asdrubal Cabrera wants to play his whole career in Cleveland.

"I don't want to be jumping from team to team," said the Indians' shortstop.

This is Cabrera's fifth year in the big leagues. He can be a free agent after his sixth season. In February he signed a one-year, $4.55 million deal to avoid arbitration after making $2.025 million last year.

GM Chris Antonetti said Cabrera is one of the players he'd consider pursing a multiyear deals with, but the deal has to make sense for the organization.

"I want to stay here in Cleveland," said Cabrera. "I want to finish my career in Cleveland. They gave me the opportunity to play in the big leagues.

"But there's nothing I can do. I've just got to wait and see what happens."
